Katy Perry on her upcoming wedding: No drunks and bring your passports

Hollywoodnews.com: Kate Perry continues to talk about her October wedding to Russell Brand.

Just do it, girl! Go elope! No more details! Don’t jinx it.

Apparently, she’s sent out ‘Save the Date’ cards to her closest ones.

News of the World has seen the actual note, a hand-shaped henna invite. The card urges guests to “Save The Week for the wedding of Katy and Russell” from October 18 to 25 and reveals attendees “will need a passport”. The invite also states guests “will be contacted soon with more information”.

Hindustan Times believes that the wedding will be in Goa, India where Brand engaged Perry on New Year’s Eve.

Perry wants the festival to be small so that there aren’t a lot of drunk people in attendance. Hmm, are there many relatives in the family who don’t hold their liquor? C’mon it’s wedding! Everyone has drunk relatives. All weddings have their embarrassing moments.

In a previous interview, Perry exclaims “We don’t want it to be a drunk fest of people, just one night and then forgetting about it. We want it to be about love. The wedding will be small. I always have a ton of people around me and I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each other’s lives.”

Also their celeb friends won’t need to alter their plans – because some of them aren’t getting invited. (Why? Perhaps they’re also drunks).

In his next film, Brand will play an alcoholic playboy in the remake of the 1980’s Oscar nominated comedy “Arthur.”
