Get a 2GB iPod Shuffle knockoff for $9.16

It may look like an iPod Shuffle, but it's definitely not priced like one.

Sorry to follow Monday's iPod deal with another MP3 player, but this one seemed too good to pass up.

TigerDirect has the iPod Shuffle-inspired Mach Speed Eclipse 2GB MP3 player for $4.99, plus $4.17 for ground shipping. That's after a $10 mail-in rebate (PDF).

Now, here's where it could get interesting. I received an e-mail this morning with an embedded coupon code that knocks the price to $0 (again, after rebate and plus shipping). I don't know if that'll work for everyone else or not, but definitely give it a try. Best case: you get out the door for $4.17.

Even if the code doesn't work and you don't bother with the rebate, a 2GB Shuffle knockoff for less than $20 is pretty sweet.

As you can see in the photo, the Eclipse looks like it was separated at birth from the previous-gen Shuffle. It has the same spring-loaded clip, the same simple controls, and even a pair of white earbuds. The only difference is that it syncs/charges via a mini-USB cable, not that annoying proprietary Shuffle dock.

I haven't tried this particular player myself, but the user reviews on TigerDirect's product page are mostly positive. If you're looking for a cheap, simple, don't-care-if-you-lose-it MP3 player to take to the gym, clip to your running shorts, give to the kids, etc., it's hard to beat one that's this size and price.

Bonus deal: Remember the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3T convertible Netbook from a couple months ago? It's on sale for just $399 shipped (plus tax) when you apply coupon code USPS4F510 at checkout. (Make sure there are no spaces before or after the code.)
