WWE NXT: Eliminated Bryan steals show, attacks Cole

Tonight on WWE NXT: Another rookie was eliminated Tuesday, but that wasn't the story of tonight's edition of NXT. Two of last week's eliminated contestants, Michael Tarver and Daniel Bryan, were given the chance to cut one final promo. Well, Bryan made the most of his, cutting a passionate promo, challenging The Miz and eventually attacking Michael Cole before being dragged away. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Ottawa, Ontario. Michael Cole and Josh Mathews are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Striker starts the evening by welcoming the Pros to the stage. They each have a list and a microphone. Well, almost all the pros. Carlito and R-Truth are nowhere to be found.

All the Pros go over what they think the next breakout star needs. Pretty much, you need the "It Factor." This leads right into our first match.

Match #1 - Darren Young (Miami, Fla.) vs. Wade Barrett (Manchester, England)

Well, Barrett still doesn't have the music he won in a challenge several weeks ago.

They brawl to start but Barrett takes over. That doesn't last long as Young fires up with some right hands. Young goes for a tornado DDT but Barrett puts Young on the apron. That doesn't help, though, as Young pulls Barrett's head onto the top rope. Young goes back to the top but this time, Barrett violently crotches him, probably the sickest crouching in quite a long time, and hits his move for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Wade Barrett

Striker is in the ring with Michael Tarver and Daniel Bryan, who are here to talk about their eliminations. Tarver asks who exactly "WWE Management" is. He says they are a bunch of pencil-pushers who are intimidated and didn't have the professional courtesy to eliminate him personally.

He goes next to Bryan. He, too, questions "WWE Management." He cuts a very spirited promo. He then gets into it with The Miz and asks The Miz if he thinks he's so good, then why doesn't he come down to the ring and prove it? Striker tries to interrupt him but Bryan just walks right through it and says he's glad he can tell Striker off when he interrupts him. He then turns his attention to Michael Cole and runs him down. He eventually walks up to the desk and pokes him in the chest, calling him a "poor man's replacement for JR" among other things before outright attacking him. He has to be pulled away as Cole is left stunned up against the barricade. Best NXT segment yet. Must-see TV.

They go to the announce desk for reaction. Cole claims he might press charges.

Match #2 - Justin Gabriel (Cape Town, South Africa) vs. Heath Slater (Pineville, WV)

Everything is still buzzing from that last segment. Cole actually walks off the job during the match and says he is going to press charges.

Pretty quick, fast-paced match that Gabriel takes with the 450 Splash.

Winner via pinfall: Justin Gabriel

Skip Sheffield is getting his promo time backstage. He says nothing of value.

Now Striker is with the Pros and tells them to tally up their scores for the Pros Poll to figure out who is getting eliminated. Next.

Well, here we go. It's time for the Pros' Poll.

1. Wade Barrett
2. David Otunga
3. Heath Slater

That leaves Justin Gabriel and Darren Young as the final two. After the drumroll, it is revealed that Darren Young has been eliminated.

Striker then gives Young the mic and tells him to go to the Pros and tell them what he thinks.

He thanks the fans in the crowd and at home. He says the difference between he and the other rookies is that he has respect for each pro. A very classy promo but the crowd still gives him the "Goodbye Song." He takes it in stride and says this isn't the last time you'll see Darren Young.

Next week, another NXT rookie will be eliminated.
