LG 3D TVs for the masses



(Credit: LG)LG has just launched its latest range of 3D TVs targeted at Koreans. With a 55-inch LX6500 priced at just US$4,390, the chaebol is setting a new bar in affordability for these premium HDTVs.
The wallet-friendly LX6500-series is due in selected Asia markets in the following months and features LED Plus with spot control technology.
This combines a sleek LED-edgelit LCD panel with a 16-segment local dimming function to produce deeper blacks compared with regular models utilizing global dimming.
CNET Asia got hold of some key preliminary specifications during a presentation to media at the company's recent Infinia media tour in Korea.

Available in 42-, 47- and 55-inches
