HTC EVO 4G Unboxed

HTC EVO 4G, the first device in the world to hit the shelves running under Google's Android while boasting WiMAX connectivity options, has just gotten the unboxing treatment. Moreover, while Sprint is expected to have it available in stores early next month (June 4), the shipping ROM of the device has just made it into the wild, enabling those interested in the matter to have a glimpse at what's coming our way.

“RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_release_171253.exe” is the file that emerged in the wild over at Conflipper, and it is said to be the actual ROM that will be present on the
HTC EVO 4G when the phone hits the shelves.
According to mobiletechworld, the ROM is supposed to have been extracted from one of the devices that were offered during the Google I/O conference, and there are great chances that some will attempt to port it to another highly appealing device from HTC, the HD2.

Until more info on this will emerge, one might want to have a look at the unboxing gallery of
HTC EVO 4G, which was brought to the web by HTC Source. Those attending Google I/O had the nice surprise of being offered one of these babies, yet those who weren't present there will certainly want to learn a little more on what the final retail package includes.

According to HTC Source, the package itself seems to be rather cheap, as the wireless carrier is supposedly trying to reduce costs as much as possible. The package includes the HTC EVO 4G, the USB cable and a wall adapter, and nothing else. Those looking for a hands-free headset will have to purchase it separately, it seems. When
launched on June 4, the phone should sport a price tag of $199 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement. Additional photos with the unboxing of EVO 4G can be found here
