ABC Releases Updated Version of Its iPad Application

Just a few hours ago, Erictric reported that ABC submitted an updated version of its application to the App Store for review and approval. Surprisingly, the application was approved and it’s now available for download. ABC originally wanted to correct the streaming issue, which would not allow videos to stream over 3G. However, the update contains various bug fixes and improvements. For instance, there’s now support for orientation lock, more responsive player controls, improved display of parental ratings, and more.

The application can be downloaded now for both the Wi-Fi-only iPad and the newly-released iPad 3G.

Acer Liquid E to be Priced at $49.99 from Rogers

This June, the Acer Liquid E will be launching for $49.99 on Rogers Wireless. All you have to do to get this get deal is sign away 3 years of your life. Off-contract, the phone will be costing customers $349.99, and that’s not a bad deal. I would opt for the full price rather than being stuck with the same phone for 3 years. As fast as technology moves, this phone will be dated by the time you’re a third of the way done with your contract.

This phone has a 1GHZ Snapdragon under clocked to 768, most likely that was done for more battery life. It also has 512 ROM, and 256 MB RAM. It also has five home screens, Live Wallpapers, quick contact links for social networking and 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen. For those of you that like FM radio it’s there as well and there’s a5MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS. It’s a pretty good device, I hope it make its way here to the US soon.
